preserving Georgia’s distinctive cultural heritage
In the heart of Kiziki, the Pesvebi workshop has been serving a unique mission for nearly 20 years: reviving and preserving Georgia’s distinctive cultural heritage — the traditional Kizikian wool weaving craft.
In our workshop, we use locally sourced wool which would otherwise pose an ecological threat to the environment.
Our color palette is inspired by the diverse landscapes of the VashlovaniValley. Pesvebi is the only workshop in Georgia where wool yarns are entirely dyed with natural colors such as indigo, madder, walnut husks, saperavi, and other plants, all ethically sourced from the surroundings of Dedoplistskaro.
