This enormous Maprasha is a type of traditional Georgian woven textile that once served as a storage bag.

Maprasha was also used to store Mzitevi - the personal belongings a young woman brought with her when she got married, traditionally woven by the bride herself.

This piece is inspired by the endemic birds and animals of Vashlovani National Park. Alongside traditional ornaments, it features the Sarsaraki (Little Bustard) - a bird listed in the Red Book - and the Gazelle, the pride of Vashlovani.

Handmade in Dedoplistskaro using local wool, natural dyes, and leather.
